太湖石是中國古典園林中常用的園林石，原產於蘇州洞庭山太湖水中，可單獨擺設，或疊為假山。由於長年水浪衝擊，產生許多窩孔、穿孔、道孔，形狀奇特竣削，獨一無二，凝縮著永恆的世界。
太湖石以「皴、漏、瘦、透」為美，常出現在古畫當中。它代表了即便飽受風霜，依然抵得住時間的考驗，恆古佇立於世上的精神。這次我以不規則、不對稱的概念為主軸，結合各種天然材質，以現代的姿態重現太湖石的風骨。

Taihu stone is a commonly used garden stone in classical Chinese gardens, originally from the Taihu Lake in Dongting Mountain, Suzhou. It can be displayed individually or stacked to create artificial mountains. Due to years of water erosion, it forms many cavities, holes, and passages, resulting in unique and exquisite shapes, each one being one of a kind, encapsulating an eternal world.
Taihu stone is admired for its qualities of "furrowed, porous, slim, and translucent.” It symbolizes the enduring spirit that withstands the test of time despite being weathered by the elements, standing firm in the world for all eternity. In this design, I have taken an irregular and asymmetric approach, combining various natural materials to present the character of Taihu stone in a modern context.
